Türkiye likely to post $3.4B current account deficit for April: Survey
Economists expect industrial production to increase by 8.3% in April

ISTANBUL (AA) – Türkiye is likely to post a current account deficit of $3.39 billion for April, according to an Anadolu Agency survey on Thursday.
Estimates from a group of 16 economists ranged between $2.36 billion and $5.2 billion.
The figure stood at $5.55 billion in March.
The Turkish Central Bank will release its official balance of payments data on Monday.
The current account deficit is likely to be around $40.72 billion at the end of the year, with the economists’ estimates ranging between $27.5 billion and $55 billion.
- Industrial production
A separate survey showed Türkiye’s industrial production is expected to increase by 8.3% in April, following a 9.6% annual jump in March.
Estimates from a group of 12 economists ranged between 6% and 10.3%.
The Central Bank will also release its industrial production data on Monday.
