Türkiye's BIST 100 closes midweek on low note

ANKARA (AA) — Türkiye's benchmark stock index closed Wednesday at 10,076.99 points, a 0.44% decline from the previous close.

Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index lost 44.78 points on Wednesday with a daily transaction volume of 102 billion liras ($2.85 billion).

The price of an ounce of gold was $2,793.69, while Brent crude oil sold for around $76.26 per barrel as of 6.32 p.m. local time (1532GMT).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 35.7789, the euro/lira exchange rate 37.2711, and the British pound traded at 44.4278 liras.
