Türkiye's BIST 100 closes on high note

ANKARA (AA) — Türkiye's benchmark stock index closed Thursday at 9,866.73 points, with a 1.30% rise from the previous close.

Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index gained 127.01 points with a daily transaction volume of 101 billion liras ($2.85 billion).

The price of an ounce of gold was $2,748.59, while Brent crude oil sold for around $81.21 per barrel as of 6:52 p.m. local time (1552GMT).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 35.4265, the euro/lira exchange rate was 36.6030, and the British pound traded at 43.3322 liras.
