Türkiye's BIST 100 closes Tuesday on low note

Türkiye's benchmark stock index closed Tuesday at 9,999.55 points, falling 0.30% from the previous close.

Ending its four-session gaining streak, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index lost 29.76 points with a daily transaction volume of 100 billion liras ($2.81 billion).

The price of an ounce of gold was $2,758.84, while Brent crude oil sold for around $79.50 per barrel as of 7.19 p.m. local time (1619GMT).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 35.6262, the euro/lira exchange rate was 37.0994, and the British pound traded at 43.8340 liras.
