Türkiye's BIST 100 closes week exceeding 10,000 points

Türkiye's benchmark stock index closed Friday at 10,075.17 points, rising 1.14% from the previous close.

Extending its gains to a second session, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index gained 113.83 points with a daily transaction volume of 115 billion liras ($3.25 billion).

On a weekly basis, the index gained 0.50%.

The price of an ounce of gold was $2,655.39, while Brent crude oil sold for around $76.19 per barrel as of 6.21 p.m. local time (1521GMT).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 35.3736, the euro/lira exchange rate 36.4021, and the British pound traded at 43.8421 liras.
