Türkiye's BIST 100 exceeds 10,000 at Monday close

Türkiye's benchmark stock index closed Monday at 10,029.31 points, rising 0.51% from the previous close.

Extending its gains to a fourth session, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index increased 51.37 points with a daily transaction volume of 96 billion liras ($2.71 billion).

The price of an ounce of gold was $2,729.36, while Brent crude oil sold for around $79.92 per barrel as of 6.27 p.m. local time (1527GMT).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 35.5561, the euro/lira exchange rate 37.0362, and the British pound traded at 43.7390 liras.
