ANKARA (AA) – Türkiye's benchmark stock index opened at 4,903.85 points on Tuesday, down 0.53%, or 26.33 points, from the previous close.
On Monday, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index dropped 1.35% to close at 4,930.18, with a daily trading volume of 21 billion Turkish liras ($1.1 billion).
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was at 18.8257 as of 9.56 a.m. local time (0656GMT), the euro/lira exchange rate stood at 20.2165, while a British pound traded for 22.6808 Turkish liras.
Brent crude oil was selling for around $82.18 per barrel, while the price of an ounce of gold was $1,887.10.
