Türkiye's BIST 100 index ends Thursday flat

Benchmark index drops around 7 points at close

ISTANBUL (AA) - Türkiye's benchmark stock index ended at 9,170.56 points Thursday, down slightly by 0.08%.

Starting the day at 9,237.16 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index lost 7.14 points from Wednesday's close.

The lowest value was 9,162.41, while the daily high was 9,265.55.

The market value of the BIST 100 was around 8.3 trillion Turkish liras ($213.4 billion), with a trading volume of 38 billion Turkish liras ($969 million).

Some 42 stocks on the index rose and 56 dropped, compared to the previous close.

Gold was $3,316.20 per ounce, while Brent crude oil sold for $63.30 per barrel as of 6.30 pm local time (1530GMT).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 39.0995, the euro/Turkish lira exchange rate at 44.5710, while the British pound traded for 52.9020 Turkish liras.
