Türkiye's BIST 100 index ends Thursday in red

ISTANBUL (AA) - Türkiye's benchmark stock index ended at 9,102.02 points Thursday, down 1.02%.

Starting the day at 9,238.81 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index lost 94.11 points from Wednesday's close.

The lowest value was 9,092.69, while the daily high was 9,294.69.

The market value of the BIST 100 was around 8.3 trillion Turkish liras ($210 billion), with a trading volume of 85 billion Turkish liras ($2.15 billion).

Some 21 stocks on the index rose and 76 dropped, compared to the previous close.

Gold was $3,368.30 per ounce, while Brent crude oil sold for $77.05 per barrel as of 7.10 p.m. local time (1610GMT).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 39.5670, the euro/Turkish lira exchange rate 45.4650, while the British pound traded for 53.2770 Turkish liras.
