Türkiye's BIST 100 index ends week in positive side

ISTANBUL (AA) - Türkiye's benchmark stock index ended week at 9,404.89 points Friday, up 1.12%.

Starting the day at 9,301.05 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index earned 94.11 points from Thursday's close.

The lowest value was 9,235.32, while the daily high was 9,431.35.

The market value of the BIST 100 was around 8.6 trillion Turkish liras ($215.9 billion), with a trading volume of 87 billion Turkish liras ($2.19 billion).

Some 55 stocks on the index rose and 41 dropped, compared to the previous close.

Gold was $3,272.10 per ounce, while Brent crude oil sold for $66.80 per barrel as of 6.30 p.m. local time (1530GMT).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 39.8840, the euro/Turkish lira exchange rate 46.7630, while the British pound traded for 54.7390 Turkish liras.
