Türkiye's BIST 100 index flat at weekly close

ISTANBUL (AA) - Türkiye's benchmark stock index ended Friday at 10,366.16 points, down slightly by 0.04%.

Starting the day at 10,381.25 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index lost 4.55 points from Thursday's close.

The lowest value was 10,334.81, while the daily high was 10,407.44.

The market value of BIST 100 was around 9.55 trillion Turkish liras ($237.7 billion), with a trading volume of 91 billion Turkish liras ($2.27 billion).

Some 47 stocks on the index rose and 52 dropped, compared to the previous close.

Gold was $3,354.30 per ounce, while Brent crude oil sold for $68.90 per barrel as of 7 pm local time (1600GMT).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 40.3790, the euro/Turkish lira exchange rate 47.0750, while the British pound traded for 54.3110 Turkish liras.
