Türkiye's BIST 100 index soars 0.92% at close

ISTANBUL (AA) - Türkiye's benchmark stock index ended Thursday at 10,689.05 points, up by 0.92%.

Starting the day at 10,633.33 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index gained 97.07 points from Wednesday's close.

The lowest value was 10,591.95, while the daily high was 10,783.10.

The market value of the BIST 100 was around 9.9 trillion Turkish liras ($245 billion), with a trading volume of 139 billion Turkish liras ($3.43 billion).

Some 77 stocks on the index rose and 23 dropped, compared to the previous close.

Gold was $3,370.75 per ounce, while Brent crude oil sold for $68.45 per barrel as of 7.30 pm local time (1630GMT).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 40.4750, the euro/Turkish lira exchange rate 47.7195, while the British pound traded for 54.8290 Turkish liras.
