Türkiye's BIST 100 index up at weekly close

ISTANBUL (AA) - Türkiye's benchmark stock index ended Friday at 10,870.57 points, up 0.43% from the previous close.

Starting the day at 10,796.36 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index earned 46.02 points from Thursday's close.

The lowest value was 10,786.84, while the daily high was 10,905.44.

The market value of BIST 100 was around 10.07 trillion Turkish liras ($247.5 billion), with a trading volume of 97.5 billion Turkish liras ($2.38 billion).

Some 65 stocks on the index rose and 32 dropped, compared to the previous close.

Gold was $3,343.80 per ounce, while Brent crude oil sold for $66.05 per barrel as of 06.20 pm local time (1520GMT).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 40.8960, and the euro/Turkish lira was 47.9215, while the British pound traded for 55.5255 Turkish liras.
