Türkiye's BIST 100 opens Tuesday on high note

ANKARA (AA) - Türkiye's benchmark stock index opened Tuesday at 5,076.16 points, up by 0.33%, or 16.81 points, from the previous close.

Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index closed Monday at 5,059.35 points, falling 0.66%, with a daily trading volume of 46 billion liras ($2.86 billion).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 19.3965 as of 9.59 a.m. local time (0659GMT), the euro/lira exchange rate stood at 21.2416, while a British pound traded for 24.0746 Turkish liras.

Brent crude oil was selling for around $85.23 per barrel, while the price of an ounce of gold was $2,012.35.
