Türkiye's BIST 100 opens Wednesday in green

ANKARA (AA) - Türkiye's benchmark stock index opened Wednesday at 4,956.26 points, rising 0.10%, or 4.91 points, from the previous close.

Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index closed Tuesday at 4,951.35 points, surging 3.83%, with a daily trading volume of 91 billion Turkish liras ($4.48 billion).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 20.7005 as of 9.54 a.m. local time (0654GMT), the euro/lira exchange rate stood at 22.2612, and a British pound traded for 25.6230 Turkish liras.

Brent crude oil was selling for around $73.55 per barrel, while the price of an ounce of gold was $1,980.50.
