ANKARA(AA) — Türkiye's benchmark stock index opened Tuesday at 4,986.26 points, up 0.22%, or 10.79 points, from the previous close.
Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index closed Monday at 4,975.47, down 3.13%, with a daily trading volume of 70 billion Turkish liras ($3.67 billion).
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was at 19.0233 as of 09.58 a.m. local time (0658GMT), the euro/lira exchange rate stood at 20.3691, while a British pound traded for 23.3082 Turkish liras.
Brent crude oil was selling for around $73.22 per barrel, while the price of an ounce of gold was $1,977.
