Türkiye's Borsa Istanbul closes Thursday on high note

ANKARA (AA) - Türkiye's benchmark stock index ended Thursday at 5,061.99 points, rising 1.22% from the previous close.

Starting the day at 4,997.21 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index gained 60.93 points compared to the previous close.

The index's lowest value during the day was 4,983.70, while its daily high was 5,061.99.

The total market value of BIST 100 was around 4.1 trillion Turkish liras ($217 billion) by market close, with a daily trading volume of 57 billion Turkish liras ($3 billion).

The price of an ounce of gold was $1,985.85 while Brent crude oil sold around $75.79 per barrel as of 6.20 p.m. local time (1520GMT).
