Türkiye's Borsa Istanbul closes Thursday on positive note

ANKARA (AA) – Türkiye's benchmark stock index ended Thursday at 5,086.20 points, rising 0.29% from the previous close.

After starting the day at 5,057.43 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index gained 14.79 points from Wednesday's close of 5,071.41.

The index's lowest value during the day was 5,044.19, while its daily high was 5,117.76.

The daily trading volume was 68 billion Turkish liras ($3.6 billion), 65 stocks on the index posted gains, 34 were down, and one was flat during the day.

The price of gold was at $1,827.80 per ounce, while Brent crude oil stood at $82.11 per barrel at 6.50 p.m. local time (1550GMT).
