ANKARA (AA) - Türkiye's benchmark stock index opened at 3,330.26 points on Friday, down 0.98%, or 32.86 points, from the previous close.
On Thursday's close, BIST 100 index ended with losses, down 2.43% to 3,363.12 points.
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate rose to 18.2712 as of 10.12 a.m. local time (0712GMT), versus 18.2600 at the previous close.
The euro/Turkish lira exchange rate went up to 18.2626 from 18.2530, while a British pound traded for 20.9531 Turkish liras, up from 21.0360.
Brent crude oil was selling for around $91.50 per barrel, up 0.73%.
