Türkiye's Borsa Istanbul up at weekly open

ANKARA (AA) – Türkiye's benchmark stock index opened at 2,415.59 points on Monday, up 1.39%, or 33.15 points, from last week's close.

Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index was down 0.03% to 2,407.33 at Thursday's close, with a daily trading volume of 23.1 billion Turkish liras ($1.3 billion).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate had decreased to 17.4348 as of 10.22 a.m. local time (0722GMT), from 17.4920 at the previous close.

The euro/Turkish lira exchange rate climbed to 17.6367 from 17.4490, while a British pound traded for 20.7512 Turkish liras, up from 20.7170 at the previous close.

Brent crude oil sold for around $102.69 per barrel, while the price of an ounce of gold was at $1,811.35.
