Türkiye's home sales up 11.7% in June
More than 150,500 residential properties changed hands last month

ANKARA (AA) - Home sales in Türkiye jumped 11.7% year-on-year in June, the country's statistical authority said on Tuesday.
More than 150,500 residential properties changed hands last month, up from 134,731 in the same month last year, TurkStat said.
Housing sales to foreign buyers surged during the same period, up 81.8% to 8,630 units.
Istanbul, Türkiye's largest city in terms of population, enjoyed the lion's share of sales to foreign buyers – 3,906 units. The Mediterranean holiday resort city of Antalya followed with 2,534 properties, while the southern province of Mersin came third with 428.
Among foreign nationals, Russians bought the largest number of houses – 1,887 units – followed by Iranians with 987 and Iraqis with 807.
In the first half of this year, residential property sales soared 31.4% from a year ago to nearly 726,400.
TurkStat said housing sales to foreigners jumped 72.7% on an annual basis to 35,383 in January-June.
