Industrial production down 1.6% month-on-month in September, official data shows

ANKARA (AA) – Türkiye's industrial output narrowed on a monthly basis in September, the country's statistical authority revealed on Friday.
Industrial production dropped 1.6% month-on-month in September, following a growth of 2.5% in August, the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat) data showed.
The mining and quarrying index fell 2.6% from a month earlier in September, while the electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning supply index declined 1.7%.
The manufacturing index slipped 1.6% in the same period.
On an annual basis, industrial production rose at a slower pace, up 0.4% in September versus a 1.1% year-on-year rise in August.
"... mining and quarrying index decreased by 16.5%, manufacturing index increased by 1.7%, and electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply index decreased by 2.4% in September, compared with the same month of the previous year," TurkStat said.
