Turkiye's manufacturing capacity slips in February
Rate down by 1 percentage point to 76.6% in February

ISTANBUL (AA) – The capacity utilization rate (CUR) of Turkiye’s manufacturing industry decreased month-on-month in February, official data showed on Tuesday.
The rate fell by 1 percentage point to 76.6% this month, according to a Turkish Central Bank survey.
Among the main industrial groups, the highest CUR was 78.7 for intermediate goods, while the lowest was 72.9% for durable consumer goods.
On the sectoral side, the highest capacity usage of 84.7% was in the manufacturing of paper and paper products, while the lowest was in leather and leather products at 61.6%.
The figures are based on responses to the bank’s business tendency survey from local units operating in the manufacturing industry, according to the Central Bank.
The monthly data, collected from 1,718 companies in February, does not reflect the bank’s views or predictions, it said.
