US new home sales reach 737,000 in October, above expectations
New house sales down 0.1% monthly, while rising 18.7% yearly in October, according to US Census Bureau data

ISTANBUL (AA) - New home sales in the US reached 737,000 units in October 2025, above market forecasts, according to US Census Bureau data released on Wednesday.
Markets had expected the figure to come in at 716,000 for the month.
The figure was down 0.1% month-on-month in October compared to September's 738,000 units.
Meanwhile, on a yearly basis, the number of houses sold in October 2025 rose 18.7% from 621,000 in October 2024.
The bureau said the median sales price of new houses in October was $392,300, down 3.3% from September.
The average sales price of new houses in October was $498,000, up 3% month-on-month.
