US stock market opens higher
Market opens higher with rise in tech shares

NEW YORK (AA) - Indexes in the U.S. stock market opened higher Friday with gains in technology company shares.
The Dow Jones rose 59 points to begin the last trading day of the week at 23,222 points.
The S&P 500 added 7 points to start trading at 2,569 points, and the Nasdaq rose 28 points to open at 6,633 points.
At the first bell, technology firms Fitbit and GoPro saw their stock price increase 1.5 percent and 0.9 percent, respectively.
